My tent just arrived yesterday. I struggled on what to give this tent for a rating because I just got it. I was thinking about giving it a 3 for average which seemed fair to start with. But after seeing how it handled the wind without breaking or tearing, I decided to give it a 4 because it surpassed my expectations. I plan on using this tent quite a bit this summer so I will update my rating and review as I go. I found the assembly instructions to be very basic but adequate. Anyone who has put up a tent like this before will have no problem. It took me about 15 minutes. Anyway, I set my tent up in my back yard yesterday to see how it looked and how it took on the elements. My first test was wind. I have a weather station and the average wind speed was 7 to 8 mph with gusts up to 17 mph. The back of the tent was torward the wind and when the gusts would come, the back of the tent would bow it quite a bit. I have read the reviews some people have written and see some have had problems with the poles breaking. This is what I was afraid of as I watched the back of the tent bow in. I wish I had taken a picture because it was substantial. Anyway, the poles did not break and the tent returned to it’s original form when the gust passed every time. I have seen the video on Amazon of the testing process Coleman puts their tents through. Not sure how much wind this tent is rated for but I’m pretty sure 17 mph is close to it’s max. The tent looks to be made very well for the price I paid for it. There are only two guidelines that come off the rain fly on the sides of the tent. The tent is staked down on all four corners of the floor plus a floor vent in the back of the tent. In all, there are only 7 stake down points that I could see. I feel if the tent had some guidelines higher up on each of the four corners of the main body of the tent it could withstand more wind. The stakes are ok but bend fairly easily if the ground is too hard or you hit a rock when pounding them in. I

First time backpacking in the Porkies - this thing did its job! Lightweight, folded down really well into my bag, and was super easy to set up. The best part? It stormed for quite some time and we were literally floating on a puddle of water for a while, but it held up amazingly. I was so scared of being all soaked in the middle of the mountains but what a great tent!!! Definitely recommend, just maybe not for temps lower than 45-50°.

I bought this tent because of previous reviews that it was waterproof living in Florida. Weather can change drastically at a moments notice. I was hoping not to have to write a review about how bad it rained, but we had an absolute downpour for five hours straight not one drop of water got inside, I would definitely recommend this to anyone. I had a queen size room on all sides.

Very easy to put up and take down. 4 people would be a bit cramped but for 2 or 3 people it’s excellent. Great purchase!

Bought this to replace a smaller tent so I could stand up in it & had room for a portable toilet. I love the size (6 person). I sleep on a regular twin size mattress & that, along with totes of clothes, I still have plenty of room. And despite the size it's easy to setup & take down. I even did it myself though it is much easier with 2 people. But it only took me about 20 minutes. We got some pretty good rain a couple times & the inside stayed nice & dry. My brother, who knows more about tents than I, said it's really good quality. I feel like it will last me quite a while.

I like the 10’x10’ footprint. It is just as large as another brands 8 person tent. Can fit my oversized cot (on a diagonal). Easy to put up alone. Rain fly is tough to set up alone if you are short in stature. Zipper quality is a little light. Overall, a nice tent for under $100. Arrived 3 days early.

provided great air circulation and was very easy to set up. I tested setting it up as a first time camper and it only took me about 15 min at night in my backyard. (couldn't test putting it up inside since I bought a used one).

I purchased this tent a few days before a recent camping trip. It opens up and assembles easily, I was able to fit my single inflatable bed inside along with other items and still had room to move around. On this particular trip I was caught in a massive rain storm, though I was completely dry inside. The only thing I will say is that I truly don’t think it’s meant for 4 people, unless those 4 people are relatively small. Though it was just for me so it was fine. Well made quality tent.
