I have an ooni style outdoor pizza oven I got a few years ago that I use outdoors with a propane tank primarily. While I learned a lot about making pizzas with the outdoor oven, I did not use it as much as I hoped as it is a process to get it out of storage, get it set up with the propane; about an hour of prep just to make a pizza or two in less than 6-7 minutes.I started looking at the indoor electric ooni oven when it was announced, but the price was $1,000! Over time I started to notice a few different brands pop up with progressively cheaper indoor ovens. I pulled the trigger on the Chefman based on the reviews and that it was an actual brand I recognized. This thing is excellent! While there is a learning process to making great pizza in a high heat oven like this, the prep and cleanup is so much easier than an outdoor oven. Basically plug it in, let it preheat (took 22 minutes for 800F, under 15 for NY Pizza option), and prep your pizza while it is warming up. Very easy to use interface and easy timer to use as well.Comparing to the outdoor oven, you don't have to rotate the pizza every 20-30 seconds to get an even cook, just stick the pizza in the over and set the timer. You can easily watch with the window and light as well in case you need to pull the pizza early. On the flip side, I do feel like I lost just the slightest amount of flavor from the lack of real fire/smoke, and the ability to add wood chips for extra smoky flavor. That is by no means a deal breaker. For cleanup, turn the oven office and let it cool itself down a bit and then open the door for additional cooling. Come back to the oven after it has cooled enough to pull the stone out. I have a scraper to clear off anything that may have stuck to the stone to clear it easily. I typically avoid rinsing these type of stones unless absolutely necessary, and if you do, make sure it is dry before storing. Make sure to check the oven for any debris as well and clear that out as well, otherwise you will

It does take some practice. We especially like the fact that it is the only indoor pizza oven with a top burner and bottom one, both. It fits very well on a kitchen counter, so we have plenty of space. Actually, it is 4 inches smaller in width that my Smart Toaster Oven/Air Fryer. You can buy replacement 12" x 12" Pizza Stones on Amazon should you need one. It cooks very fast. We have done one on Neapolitan setting and one on Manual Setting and liked them both. Just a hint, if you try Pizza Dough Mixes in the packages, like Pillsbury or Martha Stewart, you will be sorely disappointed. It really needs homemade dough which I do in our bread machine on the dough setting. We have tried several times and we have decided it is just NOT worth the trouble for us. The pizza paddle is very hard to use even with cornmeal to reduce sticking. It still sticks and if you shove it too hard, the pizze files towards the back with topping going everywhere making a hugh mess. We have already ruined the pizza stone. Unless you have plenty of room on both side to work the paddle, etc. it is not worth it. Now I need to try and sell it seconhard.

Much easier than my propane pizza oven It had the heat I need and I didn't have to spin it to get a uniform cook. I love this little oven!

The pizza maker is somewhat difficult to use because when it's hot, you can't shape the dough. If you put the dough in while it's cold, it rises too much. I tried shaping the dough on parchment and moving it over but then the crust doesn't get crispy. If your crust is already baked, this works much better, but kind of obviates the need for it. Not as handy as I'd hoped.

All you do is plug this unit in, wait for it to preheat and throw your pizza on there. My first pizza was frozen and took about 18 mins. from the time the preheat light went off. So far, I am happy with it. I am going to try a stuffed crust pizza next. It looks like it will fit the oven o.k.

This worked out very well. Cooked a frozen pizza on it and it was better than some pizzerias around me. Was easy clean up with parchment paper.

I’ll be perfectly honest. I didn’t expect much from this appliance. Like a lot of kitchen gizmos, I wouldn’t have been surprised if after the first several uses, it was put on the shelf and never plugged in again. I would have been wrong!

This appliance exceeded my expectations it's so advanced yet so simple to use. I highly recommend.
