It's practically rideable right out of the box. You just have to insert the handle bars and adjust the stem height. Super Easy. The whole thing feels solid and sturdy without being heavy at all. I own a bike and wanted to add another low impact exercise to my routine. I figured this would be a great leg and glute workout. Here's what I liked:Good sized deck, comfortable handle bars, nice grip, easy to adjust stem height, kick stand doesn't interfere with the foot kicking on that side, easy to open and fold, light enough to carry and lift into my trunk with one hand. Here are my issues:1. no suspension and the wheels do not do well over anything on the sidewalk. If there was a stray piece of gravel, the wheel would slip. The traction isn't great.2. The rougher the surface the the more vibration you feel. This probably wouldn't be noticeable to a kid or teen or someone without joint issues, but my body was buzzing when I got off.It really is a good scooter, especially for the price, which is why I still gave it 5 stars. I just need something with good suspension and air filled tired to help mitigate the vibration. I think this scooter will work for most people and would still recommend it despite it not being a good fit for me.

We really like the scooter but cannot get it to fold. Overall, we are happy with it.

I'm revising my review! My neighbor used a tap and die set to re-thread the ruined nut. He pointed out that the plastic insert was made to just pull out. I wish the instructions had made that clear. When I pulled gently, nothing happened and I jumped to the wrong conclusion. The scooter easily folds and unfolds and is lightweight, just what I wanted, but I was surprised at how rough the ride was. There's also a strange clicking sound every so often. I'll keep it and see how long it lasts.******I'm not a teen, I'm a woman who has used tools before.Seller: This message is for you.The scooter arrived the evening of 4/21/23. It looked good and was light enough for me to remove from the outer box and easily move around. The next day I took it out of the plastic bag and re-read the instructions. They guided me in how to unfold the front wheel – so far, so good! But then the problem began.Step 3 says to undo the handle clamp. Step 4 says to remove the plastic insert. But the insert is fastened in by a screw. The step 3 photo shows an arm up above, so I assumed that something on top had to be turned. Besides the clamp that could be released but not rotated, there’s a hole smaller than any of the tools that came with the scooter. When I looked at the scooter from the front, I saw the nut on the bottom of the screw. I tried turning it by hand, but it would turn only so far. One of the L-wrenches was the right size but was awkward to use in the small space. I figured out I needed to pull the stem higher to make room to get the tool into the end of the nut. But by then the nut was jammed and wouldn’t turn at all. So I can’t remove the plastic insert, which means I can’t insert the handlebar grips. All I want is for you to send me a new screw and nut, which are probably made especially for the LaScoota. I’ll need someone’s help where I live to forcibly remove the jammed nut, which will ruin it and maybe ruin the end of the long screw also. So please, send me those two parts or advis

Great Scooter, Great Price Ok, had it about a month now. Got about 20 miles on it. Got it for an alternate to jogging and arthritic knees. Warning: first scooter for me since childhood.Cons: no suspension; with the polyurethane wheels, I feel every little bump and sidewalk crack. I thought the headset was loose but it turns out the folding lock mechanism (pic 2) has a little bit of front/back play, only noticeable when standing still. The downtube stop (pic3), just behind the front wheel was installed backwards with the countersunk hole in the back of the rubber spacer. Believe this was intentional to prevent complaints about the lock not releasing because properly installed, the stop should have a slight backward pressure on the downtube. To release the lock, push the handlebars forward and voila!Pros: plenty of room for my size 10 feet; glides very well; well made and holding up well so far; rear brake works fine when you need it; I don't fold it so have encountered no probs with the folding mechanism; also no probs with surface changes, bumps, etc., with large wheels. While it looks like the cons outweigh the pros, they are all minor and except for the suspension, all easily fixed. For the price, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Straight out of the box it was 95% ready to go. Ez setup. Glides along as expected with the 8" wheels so minimal effort needed. I've rode it for about an hour so far and loving it! Kiddo and I can now ride around the neighborhood or parks together. I have only 1 complaint about the kickstand. It needs to be angled more. Even on level ground it wants to tip over with how upright it sits. Other than that, great purchase and would recommend! 糟

Having bought two LaScooters for my children, I wanted to take part as well. Thank goodness they have this scooter which is a great fit for adults! This scooter fits both my husband and I (he's 6' 5" and I'm 5'3") so will work for a wide range of parents.

I’ve loved scooters since I was a kid and haven’t been on one since then. I decided to get one and after looking at countless reviews decided to go with the Dark Adult LaScooter. I’ve had it for 3 hours on a day off. It was super easy to assemble/get it ready to go took like 10 min maybe and that’s only becasue I didn’t realize the black bit in the front that says to remove just pulls out once the thing is loosened lol. I rode it around the neighborhood and onto a bike path. It’s great! Rides well (like any scooter of its kind) so on bumpier surfaces you feel it but thats how those types of wheels are so as expected. I weigh 270lbs and didn’t have any issues. Not to say the ware and tare can’t happen faster because of the extra weight, but if you’re about my size and curious, it should work well for you too! Hope this helps someone😊

I don't normally write reviews for purchases but felt this one was necessary. My scooter arrived in a timely manner is a really big box that felt awkward to carry but was very easy to assemble. Because my commute on foot after an hour-length of time from taking the bus would normally have been half an hour downhill and uphill, this thing easily cuts off a good 10 minutes traveling carefully from one place to another and handles going uphill on reasonable inclines really well.

Prefer over the Razor A5 Lux kick. I bought this scooter for my son, an upgrade from his 3 wheel scooter, while my husband and I both have Razor A5s. I was excited to ride both and see if I was ready for a change too. For basically the same price point, I have to say I prefer the Lascoota over my Razor, and in fact ordered 2 more for me & my husband (we'll use the Razors when we have visitors). Here's what I liked: (1) much better handles- the thick rubber grips on Lascoota are much better than the foam grips on Razor, particularly on bumpy surfaces. The foam on my Razor has holes worn thru and creates more irritating vibrations in my hands. (2) built in carry strap, no such thing on the razor. (3) much better kickstand than Razor (4) smoother ride - not sure why as both have similar sized wheels, but the lascoota just felt like a smoother ride. I also like the texture on the footbed.(5) Color & designs, we got the really different and fun colors from lascoota that look great. (6) slot at back for a rechargeable break light, super cool, and buying separately. The only downside was an issue with the shipping around the holidays, all 3 were supposed to arrive before Xmas but 2 went missing with ups for a week. Just watch out if your order is time sensitive. Oh, you also get a very nice brochure and an offer for a free gift (currently a lock).

Got this for a two mile commute to work on a flat area of town.
